Database Software - Web

- FileMaker Pro Database software for the Web. I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard nothing but praise for it so far. [Posted 19 Dec. 2001].
- Waypoint Outcomes, http://www.subjectivemetrics.com/index.cfm While this isn't really database software, I wasn't sure where else to put it. I read about this on the WPA-L listserv, and I post Valerie Balester's words here: "A while back someone asked for opinions of Waypoint software. I went to their booth at a conference, and I was so impressed in its potential for WID and for assessment at Texas A&M that I am going to get a trial version over this next year. It's basically a rubric builder with commenting and peer review functions. It does nothing extraordinary, but it makes commenting on papers, keeping histories of comments, and reporting and tracking data simple. The interace looks good, and we can use it in multiple platforms, which we need in a big university (Moodle, Blackboard, direct from their site). We have one college here using it for trial, and their reports have been positive." [Posted to WPA-L@asu.edu 7 April 2008, by Valerie Balester; reposted without permission]
