- Microsoft Office Live Workspace, http://workspace.officelive.com/ "With your workspace, you can store 1000+ documents online, share them with others, and then access them directly from Microsoft Office Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. Check out some examples of how people are using their workspace." So, okay, I've now got a Microsoft Office Live Workspace, and I can see where there might be some advantages. It makes sharing documents very easy (though I haven't actually tried it out to see if it saves versions, etc.). It allows for easy commenting, offers templates, and more. Since I use GoToMyPc.com, it's not actually as useful to me as it might be to store documents online, so I won't be using it for that, but, hey, how often does Microsoft actually offer anything useful for free?? Okay, well, hotmail is also Microsoft and free--and you can use your Microsoft Hotmail Live ID for Workspace as well. [Posted 21 March 2008]
- Opera Web browser, http://www.opera.com/. Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser is NOT the only browser out there, you know.... Opera offers a customizable browsing experience and purports to be "the fastest browser in the world." If you're using it, how about posting some feedback? [Posted 31 Dec. 2008].
